Doctor Who is preparing to film for episodes 7 and 8 of Peter Capaldi's inaugural season and the BBC is bringing on two new writers to do so.

Wallander's Peter Harness and Being Human's Jamie Mathieson will be teaming up with Da Vinci's Demons' director Paul Wilmshurst in order to bring Whovians two new adventures.

Harness will be taking on episode 7, which still remains untitled. The scribe has indicated that the story will be "a bit unusual in parts" and it sounds like the Twelfth Doctor (Capalid) and Clara (Jenna Louise Coleman) will be in for a wild adventure.

"It's an honour to be telling a rather crazy story for Clara and a wonderful new Doctor," Harness said, according to CultBox.

Mathieson, meanwhile, will provide the plot for episode 8, which Doctor Who TV claims is tentatively titled "Mummy on the Orient Express." While Mathieson hasn't dropped many hints about his latest work, the writer did express excitement at landing the high-profile gig.

"I am writing for the British institution, children's nightmare factory and infinite narrative sand-pit that is Doctor Who," Mathieson revealed on his blog. "Which is an honour. And a joy. And a huge pressure. And very, very cool."
