'Law and Order SVU' Season 15 News: NBC Show Not Being Renewed For Another Season Because Of Financial Issues? [VIDEO]
Recent reports are suggesting an ill-fate for the renewal of Law and Order SVU, which is nearing the finale of its fifteenth season.
Retired Detective John Munch to Return to Offer Special Expertise in Finale?
As NBC is considering the renewal of the detective series a Deadline report suggests financial troubles might discourage the network from running with another season of the show. It is also being suggested that the budget negotiations between Dick Wolf, the writer of the show and the books it is based on, and NBC didn't go down to well.
To add to that, it seems like some of the cast members have also tired of the show. Christopher Meloni, who plays Detective Elliot Stabler on the show revealed that he felt saturated about playing his character on the show, at the 2014 TV Critics press tour.
"From where I sit right now, I spent 12 years there. It was a great experience. I loved all the people, I loved the character, I just feel at this point and time it's kind of been done, for me," he told E!News.
Meanwhile, the next episode will feature Olivia dealing with the immediate aftermath of serial killer William Lewis' suicide in the last episode. The only lead fans have about what to expect from the upcoming episode is the sneak preview that was recently revealed.
In the preview, Olivia is being checked out by the medics, her face is still blood splattered from Lewis' gruesome death in the last episode, but she seems calm. In the last episode Lewis killed himself in front of Olivia. Now she is just concerned about what he might have done to his hostage, the little girl they found with him.
In the clip Detective Nick Amaro (Danny Pino) is seen with her asking the medics to also get someone to take care of her if they were done with the "body probing."
