'Downton Abbey' Season 5 Premiere: Lady Edith Set To Move In An 'Interesting Direction' As Series Will Get More 'Meaty'? [VIDEO]
New information continues to surface on the upcoming season of the hit British-American drama Downton Abbey, as one of its main actresses recently took the time to elaborate on it.
Downton Abbey Will Take On A New Style?
On Wednesday, Glamour posted an interview with Laura Carmichael, who's plays Lady Edith on the British drama. She said that she couldn't release any details about the next season, but fans will still have something to look forward to.
"It's really hard not to talk about it, but it's going in an interesting direction and there's a really meaty story there," Carmichael said. "I certainly have felt really privileged to get to play this storyline. I think it's been very moving for me so hopefully it will be in September too."

The actress also dished on how well things are going with filming and what it's like to be back on set.
"It's good, it's great. It's a home from home now, in a weird way," she said. "It feels like we haven't stopped. We're shooting a big day today with lots of us in and it's really lovely to see everyone. It's a very nice gang to be a part of."
Carmichael then revealed that with the success of Downton Abbey, there might be a chance that she'll end up moving to Hollywood for more roles.
"I'm really aware that we, certainly I, have been very spoilt and this is my first TV job so it's been amazing," she said. "It really will be just a case of finding something that feels like something I want to do or something that feels different or new and exciting and that could be anywhere, so who knows."
Downton Abbey Season 5 is expected to premiere in January 2015 on PBS.
