Kevin Spacey recently was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and spoke about touring for Richard III and also about playing Francis Underwood on House of Cards.

Barack Obama to Guest Star on Season 2 of House of Cards?

The actor has been drawing a lot of comparisons between playing the titular character in Shakespeare's Richard III and Francis Underwood, also suggesting that he took inspiration from the former to play the vile poltical opportunist in D.C.

But while talking to Fallon on his late night show on May 2 the actor revealed a rather interesting tid bit about what the real president thought about the show.

Spacey said that he had heard that Barack Obama had watched the show and also that the president "wished that Washington was ruthlessly pragmatic as it is on the show." The actor could have been joking but we are inclined to believe that he was being serious.

The actor also spoke about how incredible it was to be working with such an incredible group of writers and cast. Spacey also suggested that he felt that audiences were probably more scared of Robin Wright's character.

At an event preceding the White House Correspondents Dinner, Wright had also suggested that she would like to see Obama guest star on the show and suggested that she would actually ask him if he would be willing at the dinner.
