'Downton Abbey' Season 5 Spoilers: Anna 'Loses Her Good Name' After Rape Incident, Bates Realizes 'What He's Capable Of?' [VIDEO]
Some more news on Downton Abbey has been released, including a massive moment that will reportedly take place between Anna and her husband after her frightening rape last season.
Actress Takes PHOTOS Of Season 5 Set?
On Saturday, Variety reported that Joanne Froggatt (Anna) was told in advance that some big moment would happen to Anna although she didn't specify what exactly it was. She gave a brief statement on what could happen, which leaves speculation on how damaged she is along with her marriage.
"It was eye-opening experience," Froggatt said. "But for a person of Anna's status, her reputation is all she has and she wouldn't want to lose her good name."
Tom Will Get His 'Political Fire' Back?
Series creator Julian Fellowes mentioned something about Anna's husband, Mr. Bates, who might react in a way that no one would expect.
"We don't know what he's capable of, well I do, but you all don't," Fellowes teased.
The creator also mentioned that a fan came up to him in a store and asked him to make Lady Edith happy. Based on actress Laura Carmichael's recent words with Glamour, it's difficult to tell if she'll be happy or if she'll face another season of dramatic incidents.
"It's really hard not to talk about it, but it's going in an interesting direction and there's a really meaty story there," Carmichael said. "I certainly have felt really privileged to get to play this storyline. I think it's been very moving for me so hopefully it will be in September too."
Downton Abbey Season 5 is expected to premiere in January 2015 on PBS.
