'CSI: Las Vegas' Says Goodbye To Captain Brass, How Will Paul Guilfoyle Leave CBS Series? [VIDEO]
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation kicked off season 14 by putting Captain Brass' daughter behind bars and Ellie's story will serve to close out the year as well.
As D.B. Russell (Ted Danson) and his CSIs will be trying to tie a modern-day crime to a 25-year-old robbery, Capt. Brass (Paul Guilfoyle) will be spending his last ever CSI episode dealing with his murderous daughter's suicide attempt during "Dead In His Tracks."
"We started the season with Capt. Brass [realizing] Ellie was a far worse seed than even her dad knew," explained executive producer Don McGill , according to TV Guide. "[He's wondered] whether his commitment to the job was responsible for failings in his personal life. We tried to bring some closure to that story line, with the possibility for Capt. Brass to find some peace."

While Ellie's (Teal Redmann) ultimate fate remains unknown, McGill has revealed that there is always a chance Guilfoyal could return for a future episode.
"People leave CSI, but they never really leave," McGill told TV Guide. "The door is always open."
