'Masters of Sex' Season 2 News: Sarah Silverman and Michael Sheen To Play Out Real Life Relationship On Show? [VIDEO]
It was recently revealed that Sarah Silverman would be joining the cast for season 2 of Masters of Sex and this could hint at something as Silverman is seeing actor, Michael Sheen, who plays the protagonist of the show.
Season 2 Plot Reveals Ahead of Summer Premiere; Less Sex More Drama?
While nothing else has been revealed about Silverman's character on the show, we do know that she will be called Helen. As a comedienne, Silverman has been damningly honest about sex, to the extent of being a bit obnoxious. So when a personality like that joins the show, she could easily be donning an unabashedly sensual role. Enstars wonders if there is a void to fill on the show which Silverman might be stepping in to fill.
The first promo of the show revealed that Virginia (Lizzy Caplan) will be sick of the oversexualised image that her sex experiments with Bill Masters has wrought. The highlight of the Masters of Sex clip is Virginia (Lizzy Caplan) wanting to pull out from the research experiments with Bill Masters (Michael Sheen). She is seen complaining about being "propositioned for sex a dozen times a day" since the duo's presentation was released in the medical community. In one bit we see her fighting off a colleague in the rest room. She seems to be telling Masters that she is quitting when she says, "I am afraid I have lost my appetite for that."
