Reign is about to become extra epic when King Henry makes an announcement to the kingdom on taking over England and the death of a queen.
Enemies Bow Down To Mary In Previous Episode?
On Wednesday, a sneak peek of the next episode titled Long Live the King was released that starts off with Francis giving a speech on proud he is for fighting alongside the bravest soldiers in Europe. He ends his speech by saying that bravery helped the kingdom achieve victory and he has the Duke of Guise to thank, which leaves the crowd cheering.
The Duke of Guise then announces that King Henry is the "real" hero as Francis sees Mary, and they share a kiss. Mary is in tears with happiness while knowing that Francis came back to her after the fight.
This is when the king makes a memorable speech that leaves his son and daughter-in-law in a state of shock.
"My spies in England have been tracking the queen's slow crawl to the grave," Henry says. "After countless rumors and endless waiting, she is dead!"
Queen Catherine gives Henry a surprised look as Mary and Francis do the same. The king then says that the Queen Mary Judah betrayed the Catholic Church by naming a protestant to the throne.
"But God's will...reigns," Henry calls out. As he pulls out a sword, he says that they will all take the time to relish victories that one day they will take over England under Mary.
The crowd gives Mary an applause, but she does not look like she's looking forward to that day.
Reign airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
