'Agents Of SHIELD' Spoilers: Finale To Answer 'The Big Questions,' What Can Fans Expect? [VIDEO]
Agents of SHIELD has layered mystery upon mystery during it's freshman run and it looks like Marvel fans will be getting some major answers before the credits roll on the season finale.
What Does Clark Gregg Have To Say About The Finale? Coulson Won't Let HYDRA 'Get Away'
With FitzSimmons (Iain De Caestecker And Elizabeth Henstridge) slowly sinking below the ocean waves and the rest of Coulson's (Clark Gregg) team trapped by Centipede super soldiers, their survival is the primary concern although execs have promised to stick a fair few answers into "Beginning of the End."
"To me, a recipe for a good season finale is it answers most of the big questions and lays some new ones for you to look forward to when it comes back," said executive producer Jeffery Bell, according to Entertainment Weekly. "And whether it's a cliffhanger or there's just introduction of a new character, or whether there's a twist on someone you didn't see coming, you go ‘oh, I wanna see what that is! What does that mean?' And so ideally we have answered the big questions that people are curious about in satisfactory ways, and we will lay the groundwork for our 'wished for' season two."
Brett Dalton Explains Agents Ward's New Role, Lingering Ties To Coulson's Team
Four major queries that viewers are hoping will be recipients of Bell's answers include the reason behind Skye's (Chloe Bennet) 0-8-4 status, Ward's (Brett Dalton) ultimate decision regarding his allegiance, the death prospects of the Clairvoyant, and whether or not Fitz and Simmons managed to survive their mid-flight plunge into the Atlantic.
If these questions continue to remain unanswered by 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday, hopefully the comic book inspired series will receive another season in which to continue SHIELD's story.
