Marvel's Agents of SHIELD won't be leaving the air any time soon. In fact, it's being joined on ABC by another new Marvel venture, Agent Carter.

Agents of SHIELD will air its season 1 finale next Tuesday and luckily it won't actually be the "Beginning of the End" for the Whedon brothers' production. According to Deadline, Marvel's first live-action series was scheduled for a second season as of late Thursday night.

In addition, ABC has decided to order Agent Carter straight to series. Based off of the Marvel One Shot of the same name, the series will follow Captain America: The First Avenger's Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) in her post World War 2 life working for the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve).

The casts of both programs are understandably excited for their respective pickups, and Clark Gregg (Coulson) and Atwell took to twitter to celebrate.

"I am delighted to confirm Marvel's Agent Carter is going ahead!! #AgentCarter," Atwell tweeted, later adding photo of her enthusiastically proclaiming the news.

"Great news for all the fine folks @Marvel and ‪#‎AgentsofSHIELD‬ Special thanks to all the BAMFS who stood with us. #‎WeAreAllConnected," Gregg wrote on Thursday.

Catch Agents of SHIELD Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC. Click the video below to see a preview of the "Beginning of the End."
