Though it seemed to be a little more on the back burner as other drama unfolded in Port Charles, the mob war is back in full swing on General Hospital.

Julian Quits the Business for Alexis?

Luke (Anthony Geary) has been actively trying to get Julian (Michael DeVry) to prove his loyalties to him before he continues bankrolling money into the operation to take Sonny (Maurice Bernard) down, but he will be in for a shock when he realizes Julian no longer wants to be a part of the scheme.

"I quit," Julian says to Luke in a preview clip for the Friday, May 16 episode.

Luke and Julian 'Deal with Ava?'

Julian is quitting the business because of his new relationship with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn). She asked him to get out now while he still could, unaware of who his mysterious partner is, or the danger he could face if crossing him.

Not sure if he will do as she asks, Alexis will also seek to get Julian out of the business by going to who she assumes is his secret partner -- her ex-husband, Ric (Rick Hearst).

"I need you to let Julian out of the business," she says to him.

While Julian plots to leave the business, Sonny may finally have realized who his secret connection was, and will make plans with Shawn (Sean Blakemore) and Duke (Ian Buchanan) in order to ensure his enemy is taken out once and for all.

"The only way we're gonna survive, is by making this move," Sonny says.

Meanwhile, the romance front isn't looking too great for Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher), as Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) appears to have finally made her decision between him and Ric -- and Nikolas could be the loser.

"I'm moving out," she says to him.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 2 p.m. on ABC.
