‘Party Down South’ Season 2 Premiere: Show ‘Bigger And Better’ Than Before As Lyle & Mattie Flaunt Secret Relationship? [VIDEO]
Fans of CMT's Party Down South may still need to wait a few weeks for the season 2 premiere, but one of the reality hit's stars is guaranteeing that they won't be disappointed when the show comes back on the air.
Warrant Issued For Mattie Breaux's Arrest?
In a May 16 interview with The Advertiser, star Lyle Boudreaux revealed he hopes the show will be even bigger and better the second time around.
"I just hope that season two becomes bigger than season one," he said. "I hope season 2 is bigger and better."
'Party Down South' Cast Kicked Out Of Bars While Filming Season 2?
The show, which was CMT's highest-rated original series, switched things up in the new season. The cast moved from Murrell's Inlet, S.C. to Athens, Ga. and also headed to Cabo San Lucas for some Spring Break adventures.
Lyle, a 28-year-old Lafayette, La. Native, was joined on the show by 31-year-old Josh Murray from Louise, Miss., 33-year-old Ryan "Daddy" Richards from Orange Beach, Ala., 26-year-old Walt Windham from Frankfort, Ky., 21-year-old Lauren White from Pineville, La., 24-year-old Mattie Breaux from Gheens, La., 23-year-old Taylor "Lil Bit" Wright from Rockingham, N.C. and 25-year-old Tiffany Heinen from Eunice, La.
During the first season, one major story involved a love triangle between Boudreaux, Breaux and White, and at the two-part reunion show in early April, Lyle and Maddie seemed to hint that despite their not hooking up while living in the house, that they had hooked up since the show.
After watching a clip of the two from season one, where Lyle claimed to have turned Mattie down, he went on to explain that where he was from, turning down meant something different.
As the cast laughed, Murray then called to Mattie and said she should jump in at any time.
"For what?...I don't give a s---," she said. "He didn't tap this a--."
"We came real close, but we didn't do it on the show," Lyle added.
His reply then prompted reunion show host Christine Lakin and Murray to team up and ask him if he and Mattie had since hooked up off the show, which resulted in Lyle just smiling and laughing.
However, the two may have solved any dramatic issues they shared and hooked up again while filming season 2, as they have been out together since returning from Georgia, with both attending the MTV Hang Out Music Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama over the past weekend.
Maddie even tweeted Lyle about seeing him at the event, and shared a photo of the two together.
"@LyleBdx see ya n t minus hrs Hangout fest bound," she wrote May 17, before following up with a photo of the two together that same day with a caption of "He's a Boudreaux babyyy."
Party Down South season 2 premieres Thursday June 5 at 10 p.m. on CMT.
