'Guardians Of The Galaxy' Trailer Music Pulled From Star-Lord Tape, To Be Played Throughout Marvel Film? [VIDEO]
Guardians of the Galaxy has become inextricably linked with its trailer music, and writer/director James Gunn promises fans will be treated to quite a few more tunes from Star-Lord's favorite mix.

Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) has been holding on to one last vestige of his earth-bound days, and it looks like Star-Lord's cassette and Walkman will provide at least part of the film's soundtrack.
Viewers are already familiar with Blue Swede's Hooked on a Feeling and Norman Greenbaum's Spirit in the Sky courtesy of Guardians' first two trailers, but Gunn recently stated that nearly every song off Quill's coveted tape will make a brief appearance in the August release.

"Well, we have the whole tape - I gave it to Chris [Pratt] before we shot so he could listen to it over and over beforehand," Gunn explained in a Facebook Q&A on Monday. "So I won't give away a song in the movie. But a song on the tape that's not in the movie is Magic by Pilot."
Luckily for the Marvel project, Gunn didn't have to compromise when it came to picking the perfect songs for his lead protagonist.
"It's great to have a budget," Gunn stated. "After having budgets of thousands to budgets of hundreds of thousands it was great. It also helped that a lot of the songs I was going for were songs that people recognized, but they probably didn't know the names of them or the artists who recorded them. There's a real sweet spot of songs there."
