Church of Scientology Lawyer Denies Katie Holmes is Being Followed by Church
The Church of Scientology said that no one is following Katie Holmes following her pending divorce from Scientology follower and soon-to-be ex-husband, Tom Cruise.
According to TMZ, Katie Holmes has been followed by several unidentified men and vehicles that have been hanging around outside her New York City apartment.
Church of Scientology attorney, Gary Soter, sent a letter to TMZ, denying that these men belong to the church.
"There is no truth" to allegations that the men are sent from the Church of Scientology, Solter said.
The website claimed that two vehicles, a white Cadillac and a black Mercedes, have been keeping tabs on Holmes outside her New York City apartment the past week while she's been in New York City, though the report acknowledged another publication may be tracking her as well.
Meanwhile, Holmes has been seen stepping out in New York to make a guest appearance on Lifetime reality fashion competition Project Runway: All Stars.
The couple, often nicknamed "TomKat", announced their divorce on Friday after years of rumors and five years of marriage.
When the news of the split was announced, Holmes hoped that the divorce could stay as private as possible. "This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family," Holmes' attorney Jonathan Wolfe said in a statement on Friday.
"Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest." The couple have a 6-year old daughter Suri.
