'The Librarians' TNT Trailer Released, New Behind-The-Scenes PHOTOS, Clues To The Premiere
Based of TNT's original Librarian trilogy, The Librarians will return viewers to the supernatural-infused world of Flynn Carson (Noah Wyle) and introduce the newest members of his artifact gathering team. Director of 2006's The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines and The Librarian: The Curse of the Judas Chalice, Frakes has been selected to helm three upcoming episodes.
"We're in Portland shooting a new show based on the movies that I did with Noah Wyle, Bob Newhart, Jane Curtin and Olympia Dukakis," Frakes explained to StarTrek.com. "Dean Devlin shot the two-hour pilot and I'll be directing three of the 10 episodes. It's fabulous to revisit The Librarian."
While Wyle will only feature in a few episodes due to his prior commitment with TNT's Falling Skies, his duties as the head librarian will be balanced out by his latest protégées - Jake Stone (Christian Kane), Ezekiel Jones (John Kim), Cassandra (Lindy Booth), and Eve Baird (Rebecca Romijn). Meanwhile, Bob Newhart will also return as Judson.
"Noah is in the two-hour pilot and then he'll be recurring over the season, probably in two other episodes close to the end of the season," Frakes said. According to StarTrek.com. "It's a great group, a lot of the same people that I worked with on Leverage and The Librarian movies. So you know what you're getting."
The Librarians won't arrive on TNT until later this year, but readers can click the video below to get a preview.
