‘True Blood’ Season 7 Spoilers: 'Romance, Sadness And Resolution' Set To Heat Up HBO Finale? [VIDEO]
True Blood doesn't come back to HBO until June 22, but luckily new season 7 spoilers are being released for restless fans of the hit series.
Are Bill's Parents Coming To Bon Temps?
True Blood executive producer Brian Buckner has promised fans a more "personal" season for the big finale. "We're going back to the original premise of the show: Bill and Sookie," Buckner told TV Guide about the two beloved main characters. "People are going to be very surprised about the way we get there. There's romance, sadness and resolution."
Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) have been separated in recent seasons as Sookie found herself lusting after other men including Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) and Alcide (Joe Manganiello).
Who Is Bill At War With In Final Season?
"No matter where Sookie was, Alcide came running. That's just the kind of guy he is," Manganiello said about his werewolf character. "He's a good, solid choice. But nobody stays happy for long in Bon Temps."
Nobody may stay alive either! As Buckner revealed during a set visit, the disease Hep-V is more dangerous than ever. "Fans can expect a bloody barbecue with consequences in the season premiere," Buckner said. "Nobody's safe."
Paquin reiterated the executive producer's sentiments. "The stakes are the highest they've ever been," Paquin said. "Sookie gets into situations she's going to need help getting out of." Hopefully Bill will be there to help his old love out.
The premiere episode, which is titled Jesus Gonna Be Here, will be directed by star Moyer. The episode will also reportedly feature childhood flashbacks of Sookie and pal Tara (Rutina Wesley).
You can catch True Blood on June 22 at 9 p.m. on HBO.
