The Doctor will be catching up on a few phone calls during the Jamie Mathieson-penned episode, according to showrunner Steven Moffat, and Foxes will slip into the story that way.
"I can't believe I'm actually going to be in an episode of Doctor Who!" the excited muscian told the BBC (via Doctor Who TV). "Especially as it all came about from a chance meeting. I was playing a gig and got chatting to the show's production team who'd been watching my performance. I was telling them how much I loved Doctor Who and next thing they invited me to be on it."

It is a role many would kill for, and it will be a great way for Foxes to make her acting debut.
Not much is known about the upcoming episode asides from the fact that it will also feature a major guest appearance from Frank Skinner.
Doctor Who will debut the Twelfth Doctor (Capaldi) with the season 8 premiere this August on BBC and BBC America. The official air date has yet to be announced.
