Matthew Goode 'Very Not' Josh Charles, Will Bring 'Different Color' On The Show?

In the episodes leading upto the finale, Louis has been causing a lot of trouble for Diane (Christine Baranski) and trying to edge her out of the firm as a partner. He entered claiming that he was taking Will's (Josh Charles) place. The tension of having him around has also been felt by Kalinda (Arcie Panjabi). In the finale as Diane realises that Louis is plotting to kick her out and has managed to get enough votes from the partners, she takes the decision to join Florrick/Agos. While it is kind of obvious that Louis should stick around to give Diane more grief, but he also claimed that he was terminally ill and would die soon in a recent episode.

In the interview with E!Online, the creators suggested that both Fox and Hennessy will most likely return.

Zach Florrick Will Come Back, Have A Character Arc In Next Season?

"I'll tell you what our hope is and what our intent is: They really love working with us and we love playing with them, so we're hoping to get them for as many episodes as we can," Robert said.

The highlight of the finale was Eli Gould (Alan Cumming) proposing Alicia (Julianna Margulies) becomea candidate for State's Attorney. The cliffhanger obviously had to do with the big decision Alicia will have to take now.

The finale, titled A Weird Year, aired on May 18.
