AMC's popular series Mad Men is coming to a close at the end of this season. One character already died in the mid-season finale, which begs the question: who will be next?

No Spinoff for Mad Men

Shows like HBO's Big Love and Game of Thrones have made their mark killing off leading men, but Mad Men has never done so as of yet. The program has found it's only personal niche, though it has not escaped the temptation to kill off regulars.

Will Mad Men Use 'Fantasy' in Series Finale?

Bert Cooper (Robert Morse) found his end in the mid-season finale. Could his final dance number, which comes as a fantasy to Don Draper (Joh Hamm) be a foreshadowing of Draper's own demise? Speculation has begun to form as to whether or not the tormented ad-man will die by the close of the series, but creator Matthew Weiner is trying not to let such information get out.

It is even possible that all the Draper rumors could push show runners to go in a different direction, killing off someone less likely, like Peggy Olson (Elizabeth Moss) or Roger Sterling (John Slattery). No epitaphs have been written just yet, and all the series-end hype over who will make it out alive could be for nothing.

The story is "well structured an d connected," said Slattery of the final season, adding that they just take it "one show at a time... it gets really complicated." In January, when the series picks up again for it's final episodes, audiences will discover if he's right.
