It has long been rumored that the Mad Titan would be dropping by this summers stellar adventure, but Marvel and director James Gunn were keeping mum on the actual casting. Whether the comic book studio was ready to release the information or not, Latino Review has reported that Brolin will be contributing his voice to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's overarching baddie.
Thanos made his first MCU appearance during the final credits of 2012's The Avengers (played by Damion Poitier), and fans have been speculating about his involvement ever since. For a villain that has only appeared once over the course of nine films, Thanos has managed to cause quite a stir.

"Thanos is a character in our movie. ... He works with Ronan," Gunn briefly explained last year, according to Crave Online. "In my movie Ronan works for Thanos, and Ronan is the main bad guy in our film."
However, once the credits role on Guardians of the Galaxy, Thanos may continue on in the MCU, hopfully playing a role in Avengers: Age of Ultron or Avengers 3.
