As Arrow recently wrapped its second season, Colton Haynes, who plays Roy Harper spoke about what fans can expect from the next season of the show.

Malcolm Merlyn Resurrection To Be 'Explained' In 'Amazing Season 3'?

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Haynes revealed that Roy might be riding the downward spiral in the next season of the CW show as Thea will now be reconnecting with her dad, Malcolm Merlyn, who will strengthen her for a good fight.

"Roy's like an emotional wreck. I think that in the future, Roy is just going to go down, now he's a hero so it's almost a heroic path, but I think he's going to go down a path of lies," he said.

Laurel To Now Play Canary As 'The Torch Has Been Passed' On By Sara?

Haynes also went on to talk about the road Thea was on, which is being suspected as her turn for the worse. "It's looking a little like that's going to happen, but in true Arrow fashion, you have no idea. You can go from killing someone to crying and being very warm-hearted," he said.

The actor also joked about him taking down another female fighter, in Thea. "Here's the thing: I beat up like three girls this season and no one said anything about it," he added. "Everyone's like, 'You're awesome, you're a badass.' Not one comment has been, 'You do not hit women.' [Laughs] I think I'd let her win."

Here's the official press release for season 3 of the show:

"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. He returned home to Starling City, bent on righting the wrongs of his family and fighting injustice.

To do this, he creates the persona of the Arrow and allies himself with former military man John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), street brawler Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) and international assassin Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), while keeping his secret from those closest to him including his sister Thea (Willa Holland), who has allied herself with his most deadly enemy. Rivalries and allegiances will shift as Oliver faces his most difficult challenge yet."

The finale of season 2 of Arrow aired on May 14 on CW.
