Alec Baldwin Returns to Twitter with nearly 1 Million Followers
Alec Baldwin is back on Twitter.
The actor who deactivated his account on Monday, has moved to a new Twitter account called @ABFalecbaldwin named after the Alec Baldwin Foundation.
"It's a waste of time 2 prove how bad things are. Instead, put your thoughts, passion, energy and efforts in2 making things better," he tweeted today.
As of Thursday he had nearly 1 million Twitter followers and another $1 million on his record of generosity.
The actor donated $1 million to the New York Philarmonic on July 2, according to the New York Times, just two days after marrying Yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas.
The "30 Rock" star is a member of the Philarmonic's board and the host of its radio show "The New York Philarmonic This Week."
Recently, the actor also made headlines after clashing with photographers in two separate incidents in New York City where he reportedly punched one of them.
On June 29, he reportedly got into a verbal confrontation with one photographer. He grabbed the photographer’s arm and yelled at him for allegedly harassing a neighbor, TMZ.com reported.
Two weeks before that, he punched a New York Daily News photographer who was taking his picture in New York City. Baldwin said the photographer hit him with his camera.
The actor has had other public outbursts that also prompted him to deactivate his Twitter account. In December 2011, Baldwin was removed from an American Airlines plane after he became belligerent when a member of the crew asked him to put his electronic device away.
He deactivated his Twitter following the incident.
