Switched at Birth is about to continue with its third season, and it appears that a new character is going to be a part of the series as a potential member of Bay's family.

Bay To Decide Who She Wants To Be With?

On Thursday, series creator Lizzy Weiss tweeted the details on who the new character is with a small amount of information.

"Here's something no one else knows: @lauramarano makes a brief appearance on #SwitchedatBirth this summer. But as who?" Weiss wrote.

January 2014 TV Premiere Dates?

Considering that Laura Marano is the younger sister of Vanessa Marano, who plays Bay on the series, there is a good chance that she could play one of Bay's relatives. Weiss also revealed that her appearance will be "brief" so there is a possibility that her character may not be that beneficial to the show or she may have a brief yet memorable moment.

When the series returns, the plot is reportedly going to revolve around Bay figuring out her love life between Emmett and Tank. After she faced an unexpected moment with Emmett, CarterMatt mentioned that this will likely end up with Bay having to make a decision.

"Bay faces the consequences of her unplanned romantic encounter with Emmett. Will she break up with Tank? Will Bay and Emmett start a new life together?" the site wrote.

The site also said that Daphne will be on the hunt to find out who destroyed her mother's design studio.

Switched at Birth is set to return on Monday, June 16 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
