It's time for the Doctor Who season finale. Well, time to start talking about it at least.

Twelve Will Add 'Surprising' New Twist With a Side Of Crazy On 'Doctor Who', Steven Moffat Talks New Changes

The season 8 premiere is still several months away, but work has already begun on the two-part finale. Penned by showrunner Steven Moffat and directed by Rachel Talalay (Tank Girl), the finale will encompass episodes 11 and 12 without encroaching on the Christmas Special.

While Doctor Who general keeps their production tightly under wraps, Talalay has sprinkled her Twitter feed with a few hints regarding her upcoming work with Twelve (Peter Capaldi) and Clara (Jenna Louise Coleman).

For one thing, Talalay recently promised that fans will see plenty of both the Time Lord and his human pal throughout the finale.

"My episodes are not doctor-lite, companion-lite, or anything-else-LITE. #DoctorWho," Talalay wrote on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, some of her other tweets address the pressure surrounding a project of Who's renown.

"Wonderful scripts -- magnificent really -- only one issue re directing: #DontF---ItUp," Talalay tweeted on Saturday.

As the Doctor Who cast and crew continue to power through filming, viewers have yet to even see the newest Doctor in action. Taking over control of the TARDIS following Eleven's (Matt Smith) Christmas regeneration, Twelve (Capaldi) will take on his first adventure when Doctor Who returns to the BBC and BBC America this summer.
