'Avengers 2: Age Of Ultron' Filming 'Going Incredibly Well,' Will Production End Early? [VIDEO]
The Avengers: Age of Ultron production machine is rolling along smoothly, and the 2015 superhero powerhouse has reached its halfway mark.
Directed by Joss Whedon, the Marvel Phase Two capstone film kicked off production during March and has since jumped from South Africa to Italy to Korea before landing at Shepperton Studios in England.
Three months in, Whedon is still powering through.
"Halfway through shooting! Think I'm holding up better than usual. #yoga," Whedon posted on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Age of Ultron's protagonists, such as Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/Hulk) seem to be avoiding the burn out that generally accompanies long stretches of shooting.
"Filming is going incredibly well," Ruffalo updated his fans on Tuesday.
While the seemingly quick shooting schedule have prompted some to speculate that the release date may be moved up from May 1, it seems highly unlikely, especially considering the amount of CGI work that goes into creating several of the Avengers.
A sequel to 2012's The Avengers, Age of Ultron will feature Ruffalo, Chris Evans (Captain America/Steve Rogers), Scarlett Johnasson (Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye/Clint Barton), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man/Tony Stark), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff), Aaron Tayor-Johnson (Quicksilver/Pietro Maximoff), James Spader (Ultron), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), and Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill).
The Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
