'Agents Of SHIELD' Season 2: Coulson's Crazy Drawing Seen During Episode 4? How Will Clark Gregg's Character Deal With Trance State? [VIDEO]
Agents of SHIELD's Phil Coulson hit a little snafu with the TAHITI project during the "Beginning of the End," a problem which lead to his all-night long defacement of the Bus. Fortunately (or unfortunately) Coulson's team will probably quickly realize that they have seen their boss' drawing at least once before.
Seemingly in a trance, Coulson (Clark Gregg) viewed John Garrett's (Bill Paxton) previous alien-esque drawings in the plane's loading bay and decided to cap off the season finale by scratching his own circuit board doodle into the side of his rather expensive home.
As shocking as this quiet and potentially sinister turn of events was, viewers may be even more shocked when they recall that this same image was seen during the series' fourth episode, "Eye Spy."

While working to remove the eyebug from a former SHIELD agent, Ward went on a mission for the Clarivoyent (ironic, no?), during which he clapped eyes on another circuit board doodle in an enemy's laboratory.
What does this mean for Coulson? Could it mean that Fury's (Samuel L. Jackson) team was not the only group to extract the GH 325 from our mysterious blue gentleman? Or does it indicate that the alien (possibly a Kree) had a long-standing relationship with Earth?
The only hint that Gregg has revealed about his character's mental state indicates that perhaps these drawings may affect his ability to lead SHIELD
"I hear, Agent Coulson, in another alternate state is inscribing alien hieroglyphics, probably because of the alien blood that now pumps through his veins. The ramifications of that... They can't be good," Gregg told MTV. "Who knows what that means he's becoming? But he's becoming something. I know from having seen the finale, he's got a very special new job that's given to him, in the wake of the end of the season, and that job is more than anyone I know could handle, especially if they're waking up in the middle of the night and writing in alien."
