Set too make her acting debut in the Jamie Mathieson-penned episode 8, Foxes has provided Whovians with a brief look at what's in store for Peter Capaldi's newest Doctor and his human sidekick.

"I'm not the villain," Foxes told the BBC.

It is not known who exactly Foxes will be playing - or why she so desperately needs the Doctor's help - but showrunner Steven Moffat previously hinted that her appearance will be connected to one of the Doctor's phone messages.

For her part, Foxes is appropriately excited for her brief stint on the iconic show.

"I can't believe I'm actually going to be in an episode of Doctor Who!" the excited musician told the BBC (via Doctor Who TV). "Especially as it all came about from a chance meeting. I was playing a gig and got chatting to the show's production team who'd been watching my performance. I was telling them how much I loved Doctor Who and next thing they invited me to be on it."
