It has been 22 days since Falling Skies' 2nd Mass took down the Espheni grid, and Earth's invaders have taken that time to churn out an entirely new set of baddies for their war machine.
Standing just miles from Charleston, the 2 nd Mass will get ambushed by the their enemies newest tech in the first five minutes of season 4 (see video below). With new beamers, laser fences, and improved mechs, the Espheni manage to rain devastation upon Tom Mason's fighters on a scale not seen since season 1.
As the resistance fighters quickly scatter, its pure chaos for the Mason clan. Separated by a flamethrower, the creepily prophetic Lexi is grabbed by Ben while Anthony pulls Anne in the opposite direction. With Tom barely conscious on the ground, Matt heads for the cover of the woods.

Where Hal, Maggie, Weaver and the rest of our heroes have landed is unknown. Separated and wounded, the 2nd Mass will face an entirely unprecedented set of challenges in the series' fourth season.
"There is a new mythology and a very scientific exploration of the Espheni that we get into this season," Knight explained, according to Three If By Space. "I cannot say more than that."
