'Criminal Minds' Season 10 News: Is 'One of The Top Shows,' Has 'Real Value' & 'Not Going Anywhere'? [VIDEO]
As Criminal Minds just wrapped the finale of season 9, rumors about the next season are already doing the rounds. In an interview dated June 4, Joe Mantegna, who plays David Rossi on the show, spoke about how the show is going to enjoy a long life.
Speaking to Zap2It, the actor revealed that he will be directing an episode in the next season mid-November and it would air sometime after the holidays this year.
"I told the crew, 'Look, they may dance around with us for a while for whatever reasons, but trust me. This show has real value.' Our numbers are so good that we're still one of the top shows out there," he said. "So we're not going anywhere. Nothing on the horizon is going to make this go away, at least not in the near future."
The actor explained that he would be directing an episode in the next season just like he did in the last season and was hoping for a generous budget.
"They asked me if I would do another one, and I agreed, so I'll do that around mid-November, and it will probably air sometime after the holidays," he said. "I have some ideas that I'm going to throw around with them."
The second and final part of the finale, Demons, aired on Wednesday, May 14 on CBS at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
