'The Good Wife' Season 6 Spoilers: Diane Might Not Move To Florrick/Agos? [VIDEO]
As season 5 of The Good Wife recently wrapped, spoilers for the next chapter of the CBS legal drama have already started to do the rounds and the producers of the show dished on Diane's future and her decision to move to Florrick/Agos.
Michelle and Robert King spoke about Diane's decision to TVLine. While the finale of the CBS legal drama focussed on many things, one of the important storylines that was teased out and will be be picked up in the next season related to the big changes afoot in Diane's (Christine Baranski) career. Diane was being asked to run for State's Attorney amidst all the chaos and office politics at Lockhart/Gardner where the partners have been contriving to kick her out of the firm and take over after Will's (Josh Charles) death. Diane went to Florrick/Agos asking them if she would be interesting in joining.
"Well, that's exactly what we hope to explore in Season 6," Michelle said. "We will not say that it's definitely happening, but we will say that it is definitely not a thread that we're going to abandon by any means."

Robert also spoke about where Diane is at at this place in her life and how she was imbibing Will's (Josh Charles) traits after his death to keep him alive in some way.
"This is a woman who had the worst tragedy happen to her, which is to have her best friend and business partner die, and Diane doesn't curl up in a ball and fade away," she said. "She starts honoring Will by picking up some of his personality, some of his gambling instincts, and it makes her, in many ways, younger. There was a moment when she and Will entered Florrick-Agos for the first time, this old t-shirt factory, and it made Diane nostalgic for starting over again, for the energy of a startup. When you have everything taken away from you, there can be an excitement about starting over again. That's what you're finding with Christine [Baranski]'s character at the end of the year."
The highlight of the finale was Eli Gould (Alan Cumming) proposing Alicia (Julianna Margulies) becomea candidate for State's Attorney. The cliffhanger obviously had to do with the big decision Alicia will have to take now.
The finale, titled A Weird Year, aired on May 18.
