Last weekend, customer Abdoul Cisse, 47, was trying to break up a fight outside the Drunken Monkey Bar and Grill. While attempting to help, Cisse accidently fell backwards and cracked his skull.
Now, suspect Stephen Fassano, 23, has turned himself into police for the crime, according to The New York Daily News. Fassano was arrested on charges of manslaughter, recklessly causing the death of a person and assault. Another report states that Cisse was trying to help a bouncer remove unruly patrons when he was punched in the face and knocked to the ground. Cisse was unconscious and pronounced dead at the scene.

Big Ang (AKA Angela Raiola) said on Twitter that Cisse was not just another customer to her. "A horrific tragedy occurred outside of the drunken monkey last night. My heart is broken by the tragic and senseless loss. He was not just a customer, but a gentle giant that I loved," Big Ang posted. "I personally share my heartfelt condolences to his loved ones, and we too are feeling this loss in our drunken monkey family."
There is now a sign hanging in the window of The Drunken Monkey honoring Cisse and his memory. Big Ang opened the Drunken Monkey in 2007.
