'Avengers 2' Thor Harnesses Lightning In New VIDEO, Who Is He Fighting In 'Age Of Ultron'?
Avengers 2's Asgardian hero is ready for battle, but he may have jumped the gun.
Thor (Chris Hemsworth) can be seen harnessing lightning and powering up Mjolnir in a new set video, but he doesn't appear ready to use that massive voltage against any particular villain. So what is the God of Thunder up to?
Joss Whedon's Age of Ultron moved production to the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England during mid-June, and set photos and video from the public filming have since flooded the Internet. Fans can get a good look at Thor, Captain America (Chris Evans), and Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) in a new clip from Cinema Blend (see video below).
'Avengers 2: Age Of Ultron' Filming 'Going Incredibly Well,' Will Production End Early?
In the video, the three heroes appear to be in a relatively safe environment. A group of joggers (possibly SHIELD agents) train in the background while the Avengers trio walks past them.
Donning his typical Asgardian garb, the cloaked Thor stops and raises his hammer to the sky, causing lights to flash around him as lightning is drawn towards the unassuming slab of metal. Meanwhile, Captain America stands in front of him, fully suited up, joining Stark in looking rather unfazed at the sudden burst of energy.
Stark's lack of armor further indicates that the team is in no immediate danger. So why is Thor drawing his weapon? It looks like fans will have to wait until 2015 to find out.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron will hit theaters on May 1.
