'Insidious 3' News: Third Chapter In Indie Horror Franchise Slated For Release On April 2015?
After a lot of speculation surrounding the release of Insidious 3, the official announcement relating to that is finally out.
Jem Star To Make Third Chapter In Indie Horror Franchise 'Very Special?'
On June 13, the movie's official Twitter page revealed the important bit of information while welcoming actress Stefanie Scott on board. Insidious 3 will release on April 2015.
Recently a report hinted at possible release dates for the movie. Universal studios has a collaboration with Blumhouse productions, the movie house producing Insidious 3. The report revealed that Universal had announced three dates for the release of three horror films under the Blumhouse banner. But none of the titles for the movies were revealed. As Insidious is definitely one Blumhouse's bigger releases it might be safe to assume that one of the dates is reserved for the film, but to figure which one it might be is a bit of a guessing game. Here are the three dates as revelaed by the studio:
Insidious 2 Cliffhanger To Be Resolved In The Third Chapter?
Untitled Blumhouse Horror 1 will release on September 25th, 2015.
Untitled Blumhouse Horror 2 will release on January 8th, 2016.
Finally, Untitled Blumhouse Horror 3 will releas for October 21th, 2016.
So it seems like Blumhouse has a whole lot of horror films lined up.
Leigh Whannell, who was the writer for the first two Insidious films will also be directing this one. In April Whannell dropped a news bit for fans stating that Insidious 3's plot will be similar to the first film in the franchise and not the second.
