She told VH1 that after their heated argument, he "couldn't even make a dramatic exit because he ran out of gas."
Dixon added that that was just one example of how his financial struggle was a huge factor in their split. Dixon said all was well until he broke his leg and had to have several surgeries. While their relationship stayed strong during his healing process, once he was okay, everything changed.

"I just feel like once he got back on his feet he didn't...like he just lost that drive and ambition to be a man and take care of his woman and his kids."
She went on to say that he often pulled the "I forgot my wallet" stunt to trick her into paying for a meal. She said she didn't see the red flag initially, but finally had an "aha" moment and realized that something was off.
"I'm thinking you have it and it's like 'Oh baby you've got your card?' What if I was just as broke as him. What was we gonna do? Cause I wasn't going to wash dishes."
Still, it wasn't all bad. She admitted that she found it difficult not to compare Russell to her previous ex and father of her child, rapper Lil Scrappy, who often battled with alcohol and marijuana.
"With [O'Shea] I was happy to say he doesn't do this, he doesn't do that, like drink or smoke, because I feel like it can become a major factor in the relationship. Smoking and drinking can alter a lot, especially what you're thinking and I just felt like with O'Shea he was just able to be himself. He didn't have anything altering him that made [him] do something he wouldn't normally do."
Another difference she pointed out between Lil Scrappy and Russell was Russell's ability to be faithful; which is "something that Scrappy could never give to me ever."
