True Blood had their Season 7 premiere in Los Angeles last night before the June 22 debut of the final season on HBO. But, could there be more for True Blood fans after the final season ends?

Is Alexander Skarsgard's Eric Getting A New Love Interest?

According to True Blood composer Nathan Barr, the answer is yes! Barr told The Associated Press he was working on a True Blood musical. "This was something that I pitched to HBO and [show creator] Alan Ball," Barr confessed at the True Blood premiere. Barr said that his musical would focus on Sookie Stackhouse (played by Anna Paquin), but he's having trouble making the story smaller after so many seasons on the TV show.

"I think we're really going to try to return to the roots of the show," Barr said. He continued to say that he hopes he'll get the show in a workshop version a year from now. "There's no guarantees," Barr said. "But I think the direction we're heading in is really exciting."

Are Eric And Jason Having A Sex Scene In Season 7?

Although Barr wasn't thinking about a potential Broadway version, he did reveal that Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton) helped him put some sampled of the True Blood musical together for HBO and Ball. Moyer was famously in NBC's live version of the Sound of Music with Carrie Underwood.

Until the True Blood musical, fans will have to enjoy the series' final season, which starts this Sunday. "We're going back to the original premise of the show: Bill and Sookie," Buckner told TV Guide about the end of the show. "People are going to be very surprised about the way we get there."
