Wayne Rooney, World Cup 2014: Wife Coleen Flies To Brazil To Be By His Side After Fans Lash Out For Poor Performance Against Italy [VIDEO]
It looks like it's a WAG to the rescue as Wayne Rooney's wife Coleen has flown to Brazil to be by her husband's side after English fans have lashed out at the soccer star for his poor performance on the pitch following England's disappointing loss against Italy.
Television presenter and fashionista Coleen - who packed 15 bags for the trip - defended her husband on her social media accounts after Twitter trolls blamed her husband for their team's first loss at the World Cup.
A few angry Twitter followers lashed out at Wayne after Coleen posted a Happy Father's Day message for him, prompting a string of angry responses. After Coleen wrote, "We love our daddy!! Happy Father's Day @WayneRooney. We're so proud of you xxx," one follower tweeted back, "What's there to be proud of?"
Another quickly followed up by saying, "shame he can't play football," to which the 28-year-old celebrity mother replied with, "yeh like that goal he set up like that chunky!"
When a Twitter user then questioned her choice of words by calling someone else "chunky" she hit back with, "Who asked you? You take his place then! Let's see how you get on," before telling another critic, "pack up his game."
Wayne and Coleen have two children, Kai, 4, and Klay, 1.
