Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter the actor recalled how he reacted when he found out about Walker's sudden death.

"I was driving with Lauren when she immediately turned very quiet and was looking at me, studying, wondering if I knew," he said. "I pulled over and looked at my messages and had a moment where I just caught my breath."

He went on to reveal that the first thing they did was pray for Walker's daughter Meadow so she may get the requisite strength, as they were parents themselves.

"We said a prayer right then to give his daughter strength - because we had talked about our daughters," he said. "That's what we would talk about. Both of us were divorced, and we talked about the power of being a dad and the strong connection of a dad and his girl. Then once we got home, we started bawling."

Johnson still thinks of Walker often and remembers his very fondly. "He was a beautiful man, and in that crazy world, that's really something," he said.

Johnson also stated that he had one day of shooting left at the time of Walker's death, and they still hadn't filmed for that bit.

"I had one day of shooting left, and we still have one day left, which we'll shoot in a month or two," he said. As for Walker, he thinks about him a lot.

Fast and Furious 7 will take off from where Fast and Furious 6 left off. Wan took over the director's role from Justin Lin, who announced earlier in last year that he will step away from directing the franchise.

The cast for the seventh installment reprising their roles include Diesel, Luke Evans, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and Jordana Brewster. UFC Womens Bantam weight champion Ronda Rousey and ONG Bak star Tony Jaa will also star in the film.
