‘Iron Man 4’ News: After Sequel Delays, Robert Downey, Jr. Has Smaller Role In ‘Avengers 2’? [VIDEO]
Iron Man 4 is looking less and less likely, at least with Robert Downey, Jr. as the title character. After saying he might be getting too old for to play Tony Stark, now it seems likely his role may have been reduced in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Is The Hulk Getting A Solo Film?
On June 18, Downey, Jr. confirmed he had finished with the second Avengers film. "I've been unemployed for 2 days and require excitement. Time to start posting! Check in tomorrow--my followers get first dibs."
According to Comicbook.com, director Joss Whedon tweeted on May 31 that he was only halfway done shooting the film. The website says that this could mean two things, either that Iron Man isn't in the film as much or that the director just shot Downey, Jr.'s scenes first to free him up for other endeavors.

Downey, Jr. is currently promoting his new film The Judge. The actor wrote on his Facebook page, "Howdy folks. I'm still a newbie at this stuff, so kindly bear with... Just wrapped the Avengers: Age of Ultron gig, figured it was the right time to give you an advance look at a trailer for The Judge, coming out in October."
Downey, Jr. continued, "Susan and I are delighted that this wound up being the first movie produced through our Team Downey production company at Warner Bros. It's a drama with lots of heart and wit.... might be the best thing I've been part of yet...beginner's luck, perhaps."
