'Dallas' Season 3 Spoilers: Original Character Returns For New Episodes, 'Nikita' Actress Steps Into The Role [VIDEO]
TNT's revival of Dallas is coming back to continue Season 3, and with the tragic loss of Larry Hagman, who played the iconic J.R. Ewing, some other characters are returning to the show to breathe a little more familiarity into the series.
Family Drama Continues On TNT's Dallas
Recent reports indicate that the character of Tracey McKay will be making a two-episode appearance this season. Tracey was Bobby Ewing's girlfriend during the program's original run, and while the actress has been replaced on the TNT series, the new actress is no stranger to television.
John Ross' World Come 'Crashing Down' On Dallas
Tracey will be played by Melinda Clarke, whose experience ranges from Days of Our Lives to the CW's popular though short-lived Nikita series, which ran from 2010-2013. The California native will be debuting the role on TNT in September, potentially opening up a new continuing storyline. Tracey, originally played by Beth Toussaint, caused a stir as the daughter of Ewing rival Carter McKay. It's more than possible that her return could spell trouble for the Ewing family.
The original Dallas series aired on CBS from 1978-1991. The cast included Hagman, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, and Charlotte Tilton. The revival premiered in June 2012 on TNT and is still going strong, with original cast members Duffy and Gray returning, as well as some new characters played by Josh Henderson, Jesse Metcalfe, Jordana Brewster, and Julie Gonzalo.
Dallas returns on TNT to finish off the third season August 18.
