'Agents Of SHIELD' Season 2: Coulson New SHIELD Goes 'Back To Basics', Takes Lo-Fi Approach [VIDEO]
SHIELD is in shambles, but its agents will be quick to adjust to their new world in season 2 of Agents of SHIELD.
Which Two Avengers Will Appear On 'Agents Of SHIELD' Series? Jed & Joss Whedon Drop Hint
Labeled around the globe as a terrorist organization thanks to the work of HYDRA, SHIELD needs to be reassembled from the ground up by Director Coulson (Clark Gregg). Without the backing (and money) of a well-respected international organization, the rebooted SHIELD will need to go back to basics - and that means more than just whipping out the Howling Commandos old tricks.
"It's gonna be lo-fi," Gregg told Collider. "You're going back to basics. You've got to rebuild SHIELD from the ground up in a much more dangerous world, where your group is outlawed. So it feels like the early Sean Connery James Bond with brass knuckles and not afraid to knock somebody off."
As Marvel brakes down Agents of SHIELD to the bare necessities, Coulson still has a few tricks up his sleeve. One of these includes Fury's series of hidden bases. Equipped with the assets of the Playground as well as the Bus, Coulson's team will still be able to keep parts of their operations high tech.
