'The Mentalist' Season 7 To Introduce New Female FBI Agent [VIDEO], Will Vega Cause Trouble For Jisbon [POLL]?
The Mentalist's Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon have finally paired off, but there will soon be a new woman in the faux psychic's life.
The CBS drama won't return until 2015, and when it does it will be for an abbreviated season 7. Despite the series' time crunch, writers will be introducing yet another FBI agent, and yes, it is another woman.
There was originally fan panic that Jane would enter a relationship with Agent Kim Fischer (Emily Swallow) in the post-Red John world - even the writers contemplated it - and the announcement of the inclusion of Agent Michelle Vega in season 7 will probably awaken these old fears.

Currently, it is unknown if Vega will pose a threat to the newly minted Jisbon pairing. What is known, however, is that Vega will be a "rookie FBI agent who is a student of combat and weaponry and is unfazed by high-pressure situations," according to TV Line.
The Mentalist, which will begin filming in July, has not yet cast the role.
