While Andy chose Sam without hesitation in Rookie Blue's season premiere, an executive producer for the ABC series has revealed that Andy will be a little more cautious in taking their relationship an further.

Andy And Sam 'Just Friends' For Now?

EP Tassie Cameron told TV Line recently, that Sam is ecstatic about Andy returning to him and doesn't "want to waste anymore time." But Andy seems to be on a different page after walking away from Nick.

"Andy was in a pretty meaningful new relationship with Nick. And anything that we know about that character [is that] she's cautious. She's a perfectionist. She's a pleaser.

Nick Comes Between Chloe & Dov?

"She doesn't want to hurt people's feelings. She wants to get it right this time. She's trying to measure the pros and cons and make sure that this is the right choice."

Still, Sam's sister popping up and telling Andy to be careful considering Sam is known for shutting down when things go left, has also made Andy put up a wall when it comes to protecting her own feelings.

"Sam's sister has probably identified Andy's biggest fear about Sam. When somebody that close to someone, someone's sibling, says something like that about him, she has to be careful because that's her biggest fear about him, as well, especially after what happened in Season 3. But Andy's come a long way. She's grown up a lot in the past five seasons, and she's going to make her own decision."

As for Nick who was kind of left behind, he is going to have his own love interest later in the season. Cameron revealed that it will be awhile before he finds something new, but it's bound to happen in near the end of the season.
