'Downton Abbey' Spoilers: Season 5 Gets More Dramatic As Character Reveals How 'Things Are Changing'' [VIDEO]
A couple new details have been released on the next season of Downton Abbey that brings mystery, eeriness and extra questions.
Lady Mary To Be Involved In A New Romance?
In a clip published on Tuesday, little moments from scenes are viewed as the butler Mr. Carson narrates what's to come. As windows open and petals fall off flowers, the butler gives a speech that emphasizes the assertiveness in his voice.
"I feel a shaking of the ground I stand on," Mr. Carson says.
Thomas Will Have Something To Smile About?
Someone is then seen walking up stairs in the distance as a box of letters sit near a wall.
"The nature of life is not permanence, but flux," Carson continues. Dinner plates and silverware are then spotted on a table as the bell rings.
The clip then shows a shot of the abbey as Carson says something important that ought to leave fans in anticipation.
"Things are changing," he says.
It's unclear on how much things will change and for who, but the butler's voice makes it sound serious.
In a report from Mirror, actress Lesley Nicols who plays Mrs. Patmore on the series, revealed that the show could go off the air soon since creator Julian Fellowes seems to have a lot on his hands.
"It only has one writer in Julian Fellowes," Nicol said. "It's very different to shows in America where they have teams of writers. One day they will decide to stop it."
Downton Abbey Season 5 is expected to premiere sometime this year on PBS.
