Falling Skies' Hal and Maggie were having trouble before the Espheni separated them, and there is only almost zero chance that Maggie's upcoming relationship with Ben will make their lives any easier.

Maggie Explains Her Views On Karen's Death, Will Hal Mason Feel The Same Way On 'Falling Skies'?

Hal Mason (Drew Roy) and Maggie (Sarah Carter) ended season 3 with Karen's death looming over them like a thunderhead, and the couple failed to hash out their issues on the march form Boston. Not that Hal didn't try.

"Hal is the kind of guy that likes to get it all out on the table, deal with it and move on," Roy explained to She Knows. "I don't think he likes to hold grudges. So as this season opens, you see him making another attempt to talk with Maggie [and] put that behind them so they can go back to being who they are together - Hal and Maggie - and trusting each other."

Carter's character isn't feeling particularly chatty, however, and soon Hal is in the ghetto while Maggie has decided to hang up her arms in Chinatown. Despite the impending Hal-Maggie-Ben (Connor Jessup) love triangle, Roy recently stated that Hal will be able to get her back to her old self - presumably if/when the whole Ben issue resolves itself.

"Hal will bring the Maggie we love back out of her," Roy tweeted on Sunday. "It'll just take some time."

Find out if Hal and Maggie will be able to weather the storm when Falling Skies airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on TNT. Click the video below to see a preview for season 4.
