NBC's America's Got Talent might just be America's favorite summer show. The network aired a rerun of the talent competition aired on Tuesday, but that didn't stop viewers from tuning in.

Brothers Put Rock Spin On Cello Performance For America's Got Talent

The series, which is currently in its ninth season, was matched up against ABC's Extreme Weight Loss and the CW's family-based reality show Famous in 12. According the Variety, the America's Got Talent repeat received higher ratings than any other show in its timeslot, including programs airing new episodes.

Yesterday's report in Variety also revealed that the Nielsen ratings estimate had nearly 8 million viewers from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The NBC talent program has included a wide array of performances so far this season, from a a 22-year-old fifth generation circus performer who could walk on his hands to a 74-year-old retired bartender who sounded like a true incarnation of Frank Sinatra himself.

The final week of auditions takes place on the show this coming Tuesday, and if the trailer is any indication, the acts will continue to impress as a number of unique and stunning acts come into the competition. Clips include a man with a staple gun to his head and another who throws around fire. One act balances on a swaying tower of pots and pans, while a man with his toddler daughter take center stage.

America's Got Talent continues on NBC Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
