’50 Shades Of Grey’ News: EL James Earning More Money Than ‘Harry Potter’ Author J.K. Rowling [VIDEO]
Is Fifty Shades of Grey author EL James more popular than Harry Potter scribe J.K. Rowling?
Why New 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Film Is Artistic And Tasteful
According to a new report, James brought in just over $56 million while Rowling collected around $14.6 million this year. Harry Potter films haven't been made since 2013, while the first Fifty Shades of Grey film is set to be released in February 2015.
Not that Rowling is scrounging for cash. New attractions at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Fla. just opened with help from some of the Harry Potter film cast. According to Mashable, the newest attractions at the Universal theme park include "a functional Hogwarts Express, Diagon Alley (complete with a three-story Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes joke shop), a Leaky Cauldron restaurant and Gringotts Wizarding Bank with an accompanying ride and animatronic goblin bank tellers."

Among the cast members there to open the newest attractions included Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) and Helena Bonham Carter (Beatrix Lestrange).
"The locations created [in The Wizarding World theme park] are more accurate than our sets were," Lewis told the website. "Our sets had a lot of cameras and facades, but here, it's completely immersive. You can go down the alleyways and go into the shops. They painstakingly went over the movies and the books...it's absolutely amazing how so much of it is so accurate."
Fifty Shades of Grey's first film is expected to be out next year around Valentine's Day.
