Revenge fans will soon be able to get their fill of Emily Thorne/Amanda Clarke's origin story, but it won't be airing on any televisions.

Instead, the ABC drama is in the process of releasing an entirely canon graphic novel centered on the early development of Emily Thorne. Back is Satoshi Takeda and back is the signature dark hair and black hoodie of a young and untrained Amanda Clarke.

As season 4 prepares to delve into the Clarke's backstory now that David is miraculously living and breathing once more, those who read the comics will gain a better understanding of who Amanda was when she was just beginning her training and helping to take down a European family that had links to Flight 197.

"She's raw and edgy but still has skills," said Revenge writer Ted Sullivan, according to ABC. "And I think old fans will be excited to see this side of her that they haven't seen before."

Unfortunately for Amanda, her first attempt at revenge will not be without its stumbling block.

"This is her first real takedown," explained graphic novel author Erica Schultz, according to ABC. "She realizes she's not as smart as she thinks she is.
