'Falling Skies' Season 4: Tom Isn't There For Matt [VIDEO], Will Lexi Change This? [POLL]
Falling Skies' Maxim Knight believes season 4 will draw the Mason family closer together, but it is not a family member Matt will soon look to for guidance.
The Mason clan is currently scattered like seeds in the wind, but Tom (Noah Wyle) will be reunited with his sons - and his very creepy alien daughter - before the season is out. While Matt (Knight) is getting his first taste of leadership as he leads a rebel faction at his Espheni-controlled military school, he will still need a little help navigating the ups and downs of handling his new role. He is only 14 after all.
Unfortunately, Matt will not be taking lessons form his ever-busy father.
"He falls under the wing of Captain Weaver. Matt continues to express leadership traits, but he follows the leadership that Weaver puts upon him," Knight explained to Three If By Space. "Tom has never really been Matt's father because he is always so busy as a leader. Matt wants to learn about war and how to be a good soldier and Weaver does that for Matt. We help each other through emotional phases."
However, the Mason family won't fall to wrack and ruin as the alien threat permeates their lives at a whole new level. Instead, Lexi's problems and peculiar DNA will serve to bring the group closer together.
"Matt never really had a relationship with baby Lexi. Matt didn't have much time to focus on that," Knight continued. "Now that she is older, she is put in danger (which I can't say much about) and we end up growing closer as a result. The entire family does."
Do you think Tom could be paying more attention to his youngest son? Sound off in the poll below.
