Switzerland-born Nina Burri became a contortionist at the age of 30, but that did not stop her from becoming a top-grade act on NBC's America's Got Talent.

Burri started dancing from a young age as a ballerina, only recently beginning her career as a contortionist. "At the age of 30 I thought I should change maybe," explained the performer, admitting that 30 is a very late age to begin this kind of training.
It did not take long for her act to impress the judges. Burri blended her background in dance for movement and precision with contortionist flexibility to create a compelling, unbelievable performance. The audience squirmed in disbelief and cheered with delight as Burri showed what she could do, leaving the judges astounded by the end of the act.

"That was really spectacular..." said judge Howard Stern, "This is the best contortion I've seen, and I've been here three years."
Judge Heidi Klum found herself just as amazed, cocking her head to the side throughout the performance in an attempt to understand the seemingly impossible nature of Burro's flexibility. "I always wanted to see what you were about to do next," said the judge.
All four judges eagerly voted Nina through to the next round, with Stern even claiming that he believed Burri had the "potential [to be a] million dollar act."
The ninth season of America's Got Talent continues on NBC Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
