'Reign' Season 2 Premiere: Series May Last For Four Or Five More Years As Mary Grieves Over A Death? [VIDEO]
Reign is about to continue with its second season where there's a good chance that it'll last even longer than that.
Queen Catherine Will Deal With 'Power Structures?'
On Friday, Digital Spy posted a live interview that featured Adelaide Kane, who plays Mary on the series. The actress mentioned certain moments that she would like to see take place in the future, while giving speculation on her character's husband being killed off at some point.
"I would love to see her deal with the grief over Francis' death and go through her next marriage," Kane said. "I'd love to see her go through some of the political turmoil and opposition that she faced in Scotland shortly after she returned from France. I would love to see her 'alleged' murder of her second husband and her having a child and that playing out with her third husband."
A Force Is Coming To The Series That Will Make 'Everyone Vulnerable'
As much as Kane would like to see all this drama happen, she revealed that she does not have enough energy to do the same thing that could last for a whole decade.
"On the other hand, doing the same show eight months out of the year for 75 hours a week for the next 10 years sounds exhausting!" she said. "It sounds exhausting. I can't even imagine, I would be living in Toronto forever, which is fine, but I like L.A. and I like my friends."
Kane then mentioned how long she would like to see the series last.
"So I think we're going to get a good long run so I'm happy with like four or five years? Maybe?" she speculated.
Reign Season 2 is expected to premiere on Thursday, October 2 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
